Guidelines For Authors
Originality:
- Please submit only original work. Do not submit work that has been submitted elsewhere.
Post Topics:
- You may submit posts based on a topic already discussed on this blog or you may introduce a new subject. We invite different ideas and opinions within the framework of the blog's vision.
- Write from your own experience, and don't offer professional advice. For example, if you are a speech therapist don't tell a parent what to do. Instead draw from your experience of what you have seen that has been successful with other children. If you are a doctor you might gain insight by listening to young adults share their personal stories about how they have been treated as a patient. Try to listen to hear their perspective rather than take a position as to why they may have been treated a certain way.
- If referring to your children, consider not using their names to protect their privacy. You can refer to them instead as your child or son or daughter. If you have more than one child, you can distinguish them by ages.
Writing Style:
- Use respectful language.
- Edit your writing for grammar or spelling errors. I will not correct these.
- I may offer editing suggestions to help you tailor your writing to the blog's audience.

- Please respond to comments left on your post.
- At the end of your guest post, you may include a short bio of 5-6 sentences and a photo. Photos must be 64 x 64 pixels and jpeg format.
- You may include up to two links in your post: one in your bio and one in the post content.
